Beatty Tours Veterans Memorial and Museum in Columbus

On June 19, 2017, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) took a hard-hat tour of the Veterans Memorial and Museum, which is under construction in Columbus, Ohio, with Congressmen Steve Stivers (OH-15). Earlier this year, Beatty, Stivers, and Tiberi reintroduced legislation to designate the Veterans Memorial and Museum as the “National Veterans Memorial & Museum,” H.R. 1900. Enthusiasts of the lower Great Miami River watershed will have an opportunity to be part of a citizens’ water quality monitoring program thanks to an $18,822 grant from the Ohio Environmental Education Fund (OEEF). The grant was awarded to Rivers Unlimited – one of eight Ohio communities and organizations to receive a total of $239,941 to support environmental education programs.

Stivers Reintroduces SAFE Transitional License Act

This week, Congressman Steve Stivers (R-OH) reintroduced the SAFE Transitional License Act.  This bill changes the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (SAFE) by providing regulatory relief for loan originators in an effort to make a smooth employment transition between bank and non-bank entities.  Representatives Joyce Beatty (D-OH), Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) and Bruce Poliquin (R-ME) joined as cosponsors of this bipartisan legislation

Public Meeting to Discuss Buckeye Lake Water Quality Certification Request
