WASHINGTON, D.C. – June 30, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Today, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced $250,000 in new federal funds for the Morgan County Commissioners to upgrade the water tank for the Bishopville Water District.

“Proper water management is critical to the infrastructure of Ohio communities,” Brown said. “This funding will help improve service for rural customers and improve water quality in Morgan County.”

The $250,000 grant was awarded by the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC). The funding will give the Bishopville Water District the opportunity to replace its existing water tank which is currently in disrepair. The new 100,000 gallon tank will be located at a higher elevation, which will improve access, monitoring capability, security, and safety for water district employees.
