Brown Announces Nearly $330,000 in Federal Funds to Improve Water Quality in Southeast Ohio

U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that $329,987 has been awarded to Rural Action Inc., headquartered in The Plains, by the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) to support AmeriCorps service programs. This funding will allow for 26 AmeriCorps volunteers to work with Rural Action to improve water quality in the Appalachian region of southeast Ohio through public education and awareness, research, and stream and river projects
