HOME Funds Awarded for the Construction or Rehabilitation of Single-family Homes

OKLAHOMA CITY – (RealEstateRama) — Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency’s Board of Trustees approved Home Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) contracts during its July meeting to provide funding for affordable housing in Oklahoma. OHFA is a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) designated state Participating Jurisdiction.

The following Oklahoma organizations received funding to build or rehabilitate single-family homes for rent:

•     Little Dixie Community Action Agency, Inc. received $172,500 to construct 15 single-family homes for purchase in Antlers, Ardmore, Durant, Hugo, Idabel and Madill Counties.

•     Community Action Agency of Oklahoma City & Oklahoma and Canadian Counties received $250,000 to acquire and rehabilitate two single-family homes for purchase in Canadian and Oklahoma Counties (excluding Oklahoma City).

•     Community Action Agency of Oklahoma City & Oklahoma and Canadian Counties received $250,000 to acquire and rehabilitate two single-family homes for rent in Canadian and Oklahoma Counties (excluding Oklahoma City).

•     Freedom West Community Development Corp. received $153,875 to construct one single-family home for rent in the City of Alva.

•     Wichita Housing Authority of the Wichita Affiliated Tribes received $500,000 to construct four single-family homes for rent in City of Anadarko.

•     Washita Valley Community Action Council received $400,000 to acquire and rehabilitate two single-family homes for rent in City of Chickasha.

•     Neighborhood Housing Services of Oklahoma City, Inc. received $500,000 to construct four single-family homes for rent in the City of El Reno.

•     Community Development Support Association, Inc. received $432,550 to acquire and rehabilitate four single-family homes for rent in the City of Enid.

•     Northeast Oklahoma Community Action Agency, Inc. received $500,000 to construct four single-family homes for rent in the City of Miami.

•     Muskogee County Community Action Foundation, Inc. received $500,000 to acquire and rehabilitate four single-family homes for rent in the City of Muskogee.

•     INCA Community Services, Inc. received $286,000 to construct two single-family homes for rent in Marshall County.

•     Tri County Indian Nations Community Development Corp. received $400,000 to construct 16 single-family homes for purchase inPontotoc, Garvin, Coal, Johnston, and Murray Counties.

HOME encourages local governments and nonprofit housing organizations to build new homes, rehabilitate existing housing or make structural home repairs. HOME is designed to encourage partnerships to fund construction and rehabilitation of affordable housing for low-income families, particularly in rural Oklahoma.
