Treasurer Josh Mandel Hosts CPIM Conference in Sharonville

COLUMBUS, OH – April 10, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel’s office hosted the first Center for Public Investment Management (CPIM) conference of 2015 today at the Sharonville Convention Center.  CPIM provides local government investment officers with continuing education training as they work to safeguard taxpayer dollars.

Public funds officials in Ohio are required by law to receive continuing education credits in the areas of investment and management of public finances.  CPIM conferences cover a variety of topics and provides comprehensive financial training that benefits public funds managers at all levels of experience.

“As guardians of taxpayer dollars, local government finance officers have a responsibility to safeguard public funds,” said Treasurer Mandel.  “CPIM provides an opportunity for public funds managers to share best practices and receive continuing training which helps protect Ohio’s tax dollars.”

The Ohio Treasurer’s office offers CPIM Conferences throughout the year, as well as courses online, to help government finance officers meet their continuing education requirements while increasing their knowledge as they work to effectively manage and safeguard Ohio’s tax dollars.
