Treasurer Boyce to unveil new, green program to help homeowners save money, conserve energy

Columbus, OH – August 31, 2009 – (RealEstateRama) — Ohio Treasurer Kevin L. Boyce will officially unveil the Ohio Treasury’s latest Linked Deposit program geared toward providing reduced rate financing for Ohioans who complete weatherization improvements or install energy efficient products in their homes.

The program, Energy Conservation for Ohioans (ECO-Link), also can help homeowners qualify for federal tax credits. The Ohio Treasury is partnering with Owens Corning, KeyBank and other local banks, and Green Energy Ohio to offer ECO-Link to Ohioans trying to conserve energy and lower their energy bill.

Treasurer Boyce will officially launch ECO-Link at a press conference 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at the Owens Corning World headquarters.

In addition, there will be a mini- energy trade show to display products and inform Ohioans on ways they can make their homes more energy efficient.
