Ohio Treasurer To Offer Credit Workshop

Columbus, 08 November 2007 — Ohio Treasurer Richard Cordray will sponsor a free “Rebuild Your Credit” workshop at Norwalk High School next week. The workshop is open to the public, although attendees should register in advance. Topics to be covered include Paying Credit Card Debt, Dealing With Divorce or Loss of Income, Unexpected Medical Bills, and Avoiding Foreclosure.

“Poor credit is one of the biggest barriers to getting ahead financially,” said Cordray. “Protecting your credit, and rebuilding it if you’ve had some setbacks, can help us all individually, and will go a long way toward improving the state’s economic health.”

The “Rebuild Your Credit” workshop is jointly sponsored by Ohio Treasurer Richard Cordray, Huron county Deputy Auditor Lynn Chapin, Norwalk Mayor Sue Lesch, Huron County Treasurer Kathleen Schaffer, Huron County Auditor Roland Tkach, Citizen’s Banking Co., and National City Bank.
