COLUMBUS, OH – May 4, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — State Senator Scott Oelslager (R-North Canton) announced today the release of funds to the City of Massillon for the completion of public roadwork improvements in conjunction with Shearer’s Foods and E-Tank Environmental Equipment Rental projects.

“I am pleased to hear the Controlling Board approved Roadwork Development Grant funds to the City of Massillon,” said Oelslager. “This is a smart use of grant money, and the positive impact will be felt by the citizens of Massillon. It is great to see the state and local governments working together to create jobs.”

The Controlling Board released $852,717 from the Roadwork Development Grant fund. Both companies will expand their facilities in the Millennium Industrial Park, which will include roadwork to extend Millennium Boulevard. The grant money will be used for roadway excavation, asphalt stabilization and paving. With the expansion of their facilities, Shearer’s expects to create 100 new, full-time jobs while E-Tank anticipates 20 new jobs.

Roadwork Development Grants are administered by the Ohio Development Services Agency. The grants assist in funding local road construction projects that support the expansion and creation of business in Ohio.
