NCR of Northern Columbus to receive $2,194,899

WASHINGTON, October 31, 2007 – The Assisted Living Conversion Program grant funds will be used to convert 32 units into assisted living units for the frail and elderly at Stygler Commons. The conversion will occur in four phases and minimize relocation and disruption in the lives of the existing residents.

The new addition will create space for a vestibule/lobby, new elevator, an office, congregate dining, full service kitchen, nurse’s offices, and community space. Units will have new bathroom fixtures, walk-in showers, new HVAC systems, kitchen appliances, cabinets and countertops, and new flooring.

The 32 assisted living units are on a campus with two other senior sites and will allow a very much needed facility for aging in place residents to transition from independent living in an apartment to an assisted living facility.
