Congressman Tim Ryan Announces $119,000 to Address Homeless Youth Needs in Tallmadge, Ohio


Tallmadge, Ohio – September 16, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Congressman Tim Ryan announces $119,552 for Shelter Care, Inc. in Tallmadge, Ohio. This grant will fund the Street Outreach Services program, which addresses the needs of runaway, homeless and street youth by providing outreach services to help young people leave the streets and transition to a safe living arrangement.

“The number of homeless youth in Ohio has more than doubled over the last decade, and if we do not act that number will continue to grow,” said Congressman Ryan. “I am happy to support the work of Shelter Care and congratulate them on receiving these important funds.”

This funding was provided through the Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families – Family and Youth Services Bureau.
