WASHINGTON, D.C. – April 29, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — State Senator Troy Balderson (R-Zanesville) today applauded the announcement that BASF Corporation is considering Pickaway County to expand its operations, potentially creating 48 new full-time jobs.

“I am pleased to hear of BASF Corporation’s consideration to build in Pickaway County, as well as the Tax Credit Authority’s collaboration on this potential development,” said Balderson.

The proposed distribution center would generate $1.7 million in new payroll and create an additional 48 new positions. The announcement was made Monday during a meeting of the Ohio Tax Credit Authority which approved a seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.

“I am confident that the talented and skilled workforce in the area will thrive should BASF decide to build a distribution center here,” said Balderson.

Ohio offers a convenient transportation system, proximity to major world markets and an abundant supply of well-qualified workers.

BASF Corporation is a chemical company with a portfolio ranging from chemicals, plastics, performance products and crop protection products to oil and gas industries.
